Former Ohio State wide receiver Julian Fleming will spend up to 23 months in prison after pleading guilty to charges stemming from an ATV crash that killed his girlfriend.
Fleming was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence for his role in the May 23, 2025 crash that killed 23-year-old Alyssa Boyd, according to a press release from Bradford County (Pennsylvania) District Attorney Richard Wilson.?
The pair were thrown from an ATV after Fleming struck a deer, and neither was wearing a helmet, according to the release.
“This was an extremely unfortunate case,” Wilson stated in the release.?
Fleming will serve 9 to 23 months, followed by 36 months probation upon his release.?
Fleming entered college as ESPN’s No. 1 overall recruit in 2020. He played four seasons for the Buckeyes, starting in 22 of 38 games, before transferring to Penn State for his final collegiate season in 2024.?
During his time with Ohio State, he totaled 80 career receptions for 990 yards and seven touchdowns. In his junior year campaign, Fleming caught 34 passes for 533 yards and six touchdowns.
Fleming signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent in April 2025. However, the contract was voided when he failed his physical due to pre-existing hip and back injuries.
